The Essence of this Workshop is to discuss and enlighten the Participants on the Integrities of World Bank Environmental and Social Management Frame Work Policies known as Safe Guard Policies. The Knowledge acquired from this Workshop will go a long way in addressing environmental and social issues in your project design, implementation and operation, and help your Organization in developing a framework for consultation with communities and for public disclosure such as building a road, connecting people to electricity, or treating waste water — this way ensuring that the people and the environment are protected from potential adverse impacts in line with World Bank Standards. This Workshop will enlighten you on how to adopt policies that identify, avoid, and minimize harm to people and the environment. These policies will guide Recipients of Donor Agencies to address certain environmental and social risks in order to receive World Bank support for investment projects.
